e-Learning Showcase Launched!

We all need inspiration to create the ‘killer’ e-learning resource. I’m often browsing other people’s work searching for that ‘light bulb’ moment when I can transform a resource from dull and boring to something that might inspire. I’m not sure I succeed but developing my own expertise is part of the fun.

And so the idea to showcase of some of my work was born in the spirit of inspiring others or at least sparking new ideas. The showcase is at the time 4 elearning 4 schools site and is open to guest access.

One of my strategies is to collect ideas and techniques and keep them in a ‘gallery’ on my computer. I may not use the idea immediately but it is always there to be accessed at some time on the future.

I often find that combining my experience of creating e-learning resources with other people’s, sometimes combining more that one idea or technique, I can develop a new approach to the project.

For example, the first project I am showcasing, The Travellers Radio Debate, was developed from a number of ideas and features from PowerPoint 2003. It combines the use of duplicate slides and sound to create an interactive radio debate where learners can select a contributor to the debate and hear their speech. I will also share how the resource was created and I am hoping that some of you be able to develop the concept further perhaps utilising video – who knows.

To directly access the reosurce, click ‘The Travellers Radio Debate‘ and login as a guest.
