Traditionally, Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is provided either off-site, away from school or as a special package provided in school. However, CPD provided in this way is:
- not timely, i.e. it is not provided directly when you need it;
- costly;
- does not allow browsing;
- does not allow review.
CPD at ‘e-learning 4 schools‘ is totally different.
- CPD is provided precisely when you need it not when someone puts on a course;
- CPD is very cost-effective and efficiently uses both time and resources;
- Users can browse different topics whenever they want;
- Users can review all course materials at times to suit them;
- Users can collaborate and discuss with others.
‘e-learning 4 schools‘ is dedicated to providing high quality courses at the time it is directly needed. The first set of courses to be launched in mid-October, 2009 are designed to support teachers to develop their own pedagogy and skill set so they can make effective use of learning platforms and in particular, Moodle.
