Yes, really! PowerPoint 2010 is a very powerful e-learning tool especially when combined with add-on products such as Captivate, iSpring, Articulate, authorSTREAM, etc..

But even as a basic tool there is much we can learn about the presentation of information, lots of simple tips and tricks to making presentations engaging and interactive.

Moodle

The well known and much loved learning platform used by many schools today. So many are used as file repositories, somewhere to store that handout and yet Moodle’s potential is so much more with very little effort.

Moodle is one fo the few learning platforms built with learning in mind, it’s roots are based in learning, so it makes sense to take advantage of using Moodle. Many of the techniques discussed in this section may also be transferable to other learning platforms – if not, maybe persuade your school to get Moodle!
